At
the beginning of 2003, I was asked by my team to jump with two
camera's, to prevent video-busts during competition. Although I did not
like the idea of having more weight on my head, it did open-up one
extra possibility: two camera's == two eyes, which means in therory: 3D
pictures!
So as soon as I had some double video-material, I started experimenting
with these pictures. It was not easy, and took quite a lot of research
and searching on the internet, but finally I could see the first
result: a 3D picture of Kees exiting the PH-JMP:
Although the picture came already from video, I had still some hours of
work in front of me to be able to make real moving stereo pictures. How
I did this remains my own secret, but the result was shown at the Dutch
Championships in august 2003: the world-premiere of the 4 minute movie
'It's a kind of Magic'
